Directions
Signs and Markings - All the major roads in Spain are marked either at the side of the road or on the central reservation with distance posts, these are generally black and white and spaced at 50 meter intervals, with every 100 meters normally numbered between 100 & 900. Every Kilometre there will be a small blue sign in the same place marked with the kilometre for the length of the road and this occurs from beginning to end on all major roads. This is especially useful when following directions as, unlike the UK where exits are numbered consecutively along the road, in Spain they are numbered according to the distance they are along any given road or Motorway.
